Market Recovery Sectors to Watch
Yesterday I showed data regarding the stock market recovery that we saw transpire over the past few weeks after rapid selling.
We learned that this has only happened five times before in history, and each time the market was higher 2 months later (and this is a statistically significant result).
Letβs take a step deeper into where money was flowing after the recovery.
Letβs focus on looking at the 1 year market because that is where it is easiest to see the trend of where money flowed post-market recovery.
You can see that we see the most strength in energy, consumer discretionary, financials, REITs, and utilities.
Keep this in mind going forward because it may be an indication of where the market is headed in the future.
Itβs also noteworthy where Tech is. Tech was up only 4.2%, one of the lowest figures of any sector. This is a trend that we have seen developing over the past few weeks and it is possible that it continues.
