FOMC
Today we will hear from the Fed on their interest rate decision.
The overwhelming consensus is that rates will remain unchanged.
Powell Speech
At 1:30 Jerome Powell will speak and his comments will be monitored very closely to understand whether he still anticipates multiple rate cuts this year or not.
He has indicated in past FOMC meetings that he is looking for good data to continue before he moves forward with rate cuts, which is relatively soft language and the markets do not like the uncertainty.
His speech will be very important to listen to to understand when the Fed will begin cutting rates.
As I always recommend, keep an eye on FedWatch to see how the market digests the information and when the market expects rate cuts to happen.
