NVDA Earnings
We had one of the biggest earnings of the quarter drop last night in NVDA.
Hereโs a comparison of actual vs. expectations:
Revenue:
Expected: $33.2B
Actual: $35.1B
EPS:
Expected: $0.75
Actual: $0.81
You can see that NVDA did beat by a significant margin vs. expectations, however the move was muted.
The initial move was to the downside, but we slowly climbed back going into the conference call.
NVDA Reaction
With such strong numbers, I would have expected the stock to move higher frankly. The numbers were great but there is a bit of concern on the part of investors.
Growth on their Blackwell chip is not predicted to be as fast as previously expected, which I believe is the reason behind the muted response.
As a result, CEO Jensen Huang spoke about alternative uses for the Blackwell chip, signaling a slight shift in direction to try to reach their growth projections.
Tomorrow keep a close eye on this name because as goes Nvidia goes the Nasdaq.
